AGM - Monday 4th September 2023
The AGM will take place in the NHCISC Lounge on Monday 4th September at 11am The Agenda for the meeting will be published in due course and members are encouraged to attend.
Macmillan Grant continues to make good progress
The grant application has been approved by the Committee, signed by the NHCISC Chair and returned to Macmillan Cancer Support.
New Artificial Grass Surface.
An artificial grass surface has been laid outside the back door. This will it safer for everyone who enters the building this way. It is the start of a project to enhance the outdoor space.
Open Day
The NHCISC are planning to hold an Open Day on Saturday 30th September between 11am and 1pm to promote the Centre. This will include details about membership, becoming a volunteer and the three employee vacancies that will be announced shortly.
PSA Blood Test Results
PSA Blood Test results are available from the Cancer Support Worker, Ashley McClennan at Raigmore. Mobile number is: 07977239456 or the Macmillan nurses at Caithness General Hospital.
Men's Group Meeting
There will be a Men's Group meeting this month on the Wednesday 20th September 2023 from 2.30pm till 4pm. If you would like to have a chat before coming to any of our meetings then please email Malcolm at malcolm.nhcisc@btinternet.com to arrange a discussion about the Centre. No specific topics this month, just a nice cup of tea with a biscuit and lots of Craic.
MONDAYS - The Centre is staffed with two volunteers morning and afternoon. Keeping members safe in the Centre is the responsibility of us all. If you are feeling at all unwell then please do not come to the Centre. Many of our members have low immune systems and are more vulnerable to viruses etc.
WEDNESDAY Mens Group meetings are held every month on a Wednesday afternoon between 2.30 - 4.00pm. The dates for 2023 have been published at: www.nhcisc.org/mens-group.html
THURSDAYS - Our Thursday therapy sessions continue as normal.

New volunteers
The centre relies heavily on its volunteers. The more volunteers we have reduces the pressure on a few. If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer at the centre then please contact a member of the committee to learn more.
